SITR 2025 - THE NO 1 REGATTA IN STOCKHOLM

The Stockholm International Team Race Regatta, the biggest event of the year for Gamla Stans Yacht Sällskap (GSYS) will take place between the 22nd and 25th May, in the beautiful Capito of Scandinavia - Stockholm close to the Royal Palace.

The popular J/80 regatta this year attracts teams from New York Yacht Club, Royal Thames Yacht Club, Bayerischer Yacht-Club, Annapolis Yacht Club, Newport Harbour Club and GSYS.

The regatta is a proof of the fantastic sailing opportunities that the Capitol of Scandinavia. - Stockholm - offers together with unique social opportunities.

This year we will sail the regatta outside of the town hall at Riddarfjärden. Same sailing arena as the coming world championship 2026 in Stockholm!! Racing in the middle of the Capitol of Scandinavia - Stockholm in fresh waters and walking distance to all of Stockholm during leisure time.

Unique sailing the heart of the Capital of Scandinavia

Dear sailors,

The scene is set for a great regatta in Stockholm 2025. As a warm up for the World Championship in Team Racing 2026 in Stockholm, we have moved the racing area even more central, just outside the town hall in Stockholm - The Capitol of Scandinavia.

This year 7 teams will participate; New York Yacht Club, Annapolis Yacht Club, Newport Habour Yacht Club, Bayerische Yacht Club, Royal Thames Yacht Club and of course the host GSYS with two teams.

As always, we will have a great social program to match the regatta activities.
